Dear NMAG Membership,
This is an update on the current status of NMAG, including upcoming networking and professional development luncheons, and an introduction of our new board officers and 2011 – 2013 Board of Directors. Please see the “Letter from the NMAG Board Chair” under the “Take Note” section in our website for more details.
The NMAG Annual Membership meeting was held on November 9, 2011. There was strong support from members that NMAG continue to provide core services as conceived by its founders 20 years ago. While the board is committed to the organization’s mission and purpose, there was a consensus to focus efforts this year on infrastructure, capacity building, and core member services. We will also continue to maintain the website (www.nmag.org), post office box, and communication with members via email.
To help facilitate member networking and professional development we have set up three NMAG luncheons in the coming months hosted by NMAG Board Members. We would like to invite NMAG members to host luncheons in other parts of the state as well.
Election of board members and officers took place at the Membership Meeting. There are currently eight board members (three continuing to serve year two of their 2-year terms; two reelected to new 2-year terms; and two new board members). We are also interested in recruiting at least one new board member from southern New Mexico or other underrepresented areas (e.g. community foundations, corporate foundations). Please contact me if you would like more information. Note that you have to be a current NMAG member to serve on the Board.
New (and continuing) NMAG Board Members (Nov. 2011 – 2013):
1. Linda Anderson, Domanica Foundation
2. Laurie Betlach, SECRETARY, Lannan Foundation
3. Amy Duggan, United Way of Central NM, Center for Nonprofit Excellence

5. Bob Mang, Jessica's Love Foundation
6. Sabrina Pratt, TREASURER, City of Santa Fe Arts Commission
7. Dolores E. Roybal, CHAIR, Con Alma Health Foundation

Thank you for your support. Please feel free to contact me or any of the Board members if you have any questions or desire further information.
Sincerely,
Dolores E. Roybal, Board Chair
