Carr wrote the book "The Shallows--What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains" (for which he was nominated for a Pulitzer). Carr's book looks at the following topics that have been in the news recently:
- Is the 'Me Generation' less empathetic?
- Study links Facebook to narcissism
- Kids who use Facebook do worse in school
- Kids increasingly handed iPads, not textbooks
