Become a Member

NMAG membership is open to philanthropic organizations based in or with giving programs in New Mexico.

This includes:

  • Private foundations
  • Family foundations
  • Corporate foundations
  • Community foundations
  • Trust companies and other fiduciaries exercising trust grantmaking functions
  • Individual donors who operate a grantmaking program in accordance with the practices of organized philanthropy
  • Public sector agencies and publicly supported foundations for whom a primary purpose is grantmaking to multiple individuals or organizations

While members’ grantmaking budgets, styles and program interests vary widely, all have in common a concern for making their involvement in philanthropy as meaningful and effective as it can be.

Executives, trustees, and staff members from both private and publicly supported foundations participate in NMAG meetings and special events.

NMAG’s members represent diverse grantmaking interests including:

  • Environment

  • Health and Human Services
  • Children and Youth
  • Arts and Humanities
  • Economic Development
  • International Grantmaking
